with a character who canonically has, at the very least, teleporting abilities, crossovers and working into other situations can be explained easily.
wrong turn somewhere in time and space. endless possibilities. he would be aware of aus, and aware different things are out there but would not be an expert on what exactly he could run into. aware of different versions of himself and friends with a few, but not all individually, just as a concept. as for different fandom worlds, it's just a longer and more disorienting jump? and getting stuck is a possibility, whether characters meet at the point of a jump or any amount of time after one. hours, days, months.keen on the idea of "surface living" or something disconnected from the underground. maybe with human (or furry) and monster cohabitation. not against underground based rp if the idea is good enough, but more leaning proper out of canon storylines.
▶ stranded or down on your luck -you're in the same friend circle but it's like, friend of a close friend's friend. seen each other at a few parties / events but never really spoken. and now, you find yourself standing outside his apartment door at 11pm with nowhere else to go. ( friends out of town / roommate kicked you out / locked out / missed the last train / whatever ) a few texts between the mutual friend of a friend assures you this is fine as long as you bring him food, but it still feels wrong. clutching a bag of takeout food as a peace offering, from the only place open at this time.▶ something post apoc-y? -it had been months or even years since 'the event' to the point that things were starting to become overgrown, fresh food was practically nonexistent and seeing another wandering the wilds was a rarity as everyone had either died or shacked up in comunes or compounds. most of which were not friendly to outsiders. so, hearing a sound coming from within the broken windows of a long abandoned store was something worth checking out.?▶ not as cold as it looks -the rare underground one, something with the snowdin river.
▶ invited to some fancy event just to be 'posterboys' or 'arm candy' -"this place isn't for me either, buddy" the figure looking out over the balcony spoke. aware of y/c's presence without even looking back, as if he could feel the indecision in y/c's feet. and he was right. dressed to the nines to impress some snooty higher ups? what a joke. this whole event was one cocksucking, ass kissing ego party.the figure, just tall enough to get a nice lean on the rails, pat the space beside him, inviting y/c closer. "dragged along just to get ditched too? don't worry. i don't think anyone down there will be joining us… no booze or 'hourdervers' up here-" completely butchering that word as he let out a little chuckle, finally glancing back over his shoulder.▶ questionable work -not his idea gig, but it was the only work he could get after coming to the surface. even if the shop sold some... questionable items. not bothering him too much but, were the people up here really into this stuff?▶ something, something in a band.▶ something sci-fi?▶ uh- um...

a personal au of sorts?
outside of canon but fun to play.after coming above ground a few months ago (after the pacifist route?) the monsters who wanted to, had been integrated into surface life. it was still slightly uncommon to see one, but it wasn't a rarity. living among humans (and furries or supernatural humans, depending) and some work places / schools had opened up to the integration program. of course there was racism or rather "specisism", as there always is with change, but that was just one of the struggles.rules had been put in place: (but breaking them was not unheard of)
- no public magic usage.
- magic could not be used to harm a human.
- no actual battles, publicly.
- interspecies couples were taboo.
- some places had a monster curfew.
- and privately owned places had the right to deny monsters access. cafes, renters, etc.sans had managed to get himself a small studio apartment. opting to be an ambassador between monsters and humans. but this wasn't a full-time job or a paid position, so he scraped by, work in anywhere that would take him. often odd jobs or back alley shops.
his apartment is a small studio. two rooms, bathroom and main room. with a basic kitchenette, microwave, couch, tv and mattress that came with the apartment. the only things he actually owns are too many blankets and pillows on the bare mattress, and a few extra clothes. there are junk food wrappers, cans, bottles and solo cups scattered around. it is not tidy, despite him not owning much. the bathroom is more of a wet room, and has one very generic bar of soap that came with the place, and one towel that looks old. one roll of untouched toilet paper, sitting on top of the toilet.
this is all headcanon. but it is the headcanon things will be based off by default. happy to discus and come up with other ideas.(this page is also a w.i.p)
fooda skeleton monster converts food to energy, and this energy can be released multiple ways. any for of summons, any form of ecto, and any form of magic will use up the stored energy.if they're hungry, it's harder to perform these things. and if they have too much stored, they will need to do something with it. spar with a friend, summon some ecto-things, go off to a secluded area and throw bones and blasters around for a while. or even mimic taking a piss, for a laugh of course, summoning the necessary things to do so.sleepanother way to conserve energy. by doing literally nothing. eat a burger and lay completely still for 8 hours, you will still have the energy of the burger when you get up. but, having no energy would not be restored much from sleeping.
breathinganother form of power regulation. not breathing typical oxygen, but mimicking the action as a way to regulate the power flowing through them. if intense enough, you might even be able to feel it manifest as if they were breathing air at you, but is still just magic. because of this, for skeleton monsters at least, drowning is not possible. and if they're not exerting energy, you may not see them physically breathing at all.talkingagain, magical and not from a voice box or vocal cords. able to speak with their tongue out or mouth full. the source of the sound is them, and it isn't a psychic or telekinetic, for of communication. it's just not muscles and vibrations like a human. even if gagged, they could probably still speak. mimicking a full mouth or similar might be done to put other creatures at ease.
